WebMasterCart by WebMasterCart.com, has features such as image uploading, real–time inventory, customer accounts, and templates for 100% customizable layouts. WebMasterCart has a simple navigation and has an easy–looking appearance, but don't let that fool you. To setup everything the way it needs to be done will take a lot of time and patience.
Feature Set:
Let me give you an example of what to expect. To configure tax, you start with a list of countries, then you have to manually enter each country&#rsquo;s tax rate. For the United States, you have to type in the state then manually configure the tax for it. There are only three shipping options available: UPS, Free, or a fixed amount. Adding discounts or coupons is confusing. Here’s an example of the instruction the program gives to add a discount. "Enter discount coupons (coupon;discountvalue OR coupon;discountvalue%)Bulk discount table (from;to;discount)."
Ease of Use:
The navigation is pretty straightforward and easy to understand. You can easily find how to set up everything but you will need to read the help files to learn how to add products, set up shipping, set up taxes, set up discounts, and pretty much everything else.
Ease of Installation:
To install this product you have to have your server ready. You need to know the following things before you can install WebMasterCart. Full server path to CGI file, where WEBMASTERCART will reside, full URL to CGI files, path to Perl5 (Unix only), cgi files extension, admin password, and your name and email address. Later, they will email you the installer.
Help/Documentation:
Perhaps the most important attribute of good Shopping Cart software is the information and help the application provides. The help could be improved on. The first 90 days following the purchase, you will receive free email support. After that, if you need email support you will have to pay for it. They do have an FAQ section and a help support site that runs you through setup questions.
Summary:
The bottom line is that there are better software alternatives for the same price.
